Year 7 Maths

Hi all,

Year 7 students have done really well and adapted to secondary schooling. In Maths , students solved quizzes for each chapter and had a test at the end of each term. They had also one project related to Measurement. In Semester Two, students will cover Algebra, Geometry,Transformations, Angles & Shapes and Linear Equations. Quiz time increased to 20 minutes from 15 minutes and the total mark will be out of 15. Quizzes will be done in the middle of each chapter and at the end of the chapter.

As part of Literacy and Numeracy Week students will be having a ‘World of Maths’ incursion on the 9th of August. This incursion includes a lot fun activities, which involves solving problems and puzzles and a guided discovery to identify mathematical concepts and ideas.
